HVAC Project Engineer

Sr. PROJECT ENGINEER, Pulp & Paper/HVAC


The Project Engineer will provide engineering design, project engineering, project management and construction support for a wide range of Paper mill Air Systems-type projects including paper machine Hood, building and process HVAC and dust collection capital projects.? Successful candidates will have experience in pulp and paper manufacturing.




  • Coordinate all phases of capital projects from business justification to start-up including preliminary design studies, alternative evaluation, detailed design, construction, commissioning, start-up and optimization.


  • Develop and manage the project budget, schedule and successful execution of capital projects.


  • Provide project field support including bid walkthroughs, construction supervision and equipment commissioning.


  • Interact effectively with all levels of personnel from mill operating and maintenance personnel to top corporate management.?


  • Independent preparation of design criteria, computation/analyses, and technical reports for system designs.?


  • Provide technical support to maintenance and operations


  • Responsible for detailed design efforts including pump and hydraulic calculations, development of PFD?s and P&ID?s, equipment specifications, preparation of functional descriptions and operating instructions for systems.





  • Bachelor?s degree or higher in Engineering OR in lieu of degree, a minimum 10 years? experience in industrial/manufacturing


  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or industrial experience.


  • Willing and able to travel up to 30%


  • Experience in industrial HVAC design for buildings and process equipment.


  • Experience in paper machine hood and air systems, drying technologies and paper machine mist removal systems.


  • Knowledge in integrated manufacturing plant utilities (e.g. compressed air, central chillers, steam distribution, and water systems).


  • Knowledge of NFPA/OSHA combustible dust standards, and paper machine or converting dust collection systems.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
