Classic operates from a modern facility in Kaukauna, WI where the Company employs 41 people.
What You Will Do This position is responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.
, and other necessary tasks to ensure our shop continues to operate at top efficiency.
Quality Inspector Job Duties:
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and documenting unacceptable materials.
Approves 1st articles and in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
Maintains measurement equipment operating.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Quality Inspector Skills and
Qualifications:
Previous machine shop experience strongly desirable.
Read and understand blueprints, GD&T, material specifications and tolerance zones.
Understanding and practice of ISO principles desirable.
Analyzing information, Reporting Research Results, Documentation Skills, PC literate with Word and Excel, Promoting Process Improvement, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Supports Quality Engineering and Manufacturing.
CMM experience desirable.
5-10 years' experience in a Quality and machine shop environment, along with:
Ability to work independently and also in a team environment Knowledge of Job boss would be helpful Knowledge of ISO would be helpful A positive outlook and sense of humor are always welcome!
